Hugh Ringer has been the Director of Forensics at Mercer Middle-High School for 45 years where his teams have one 35 Pennsylvania High School Speech League District One Championships. He taught at English at Mercer High School for 32 Years while also serving as the Athletic Director at Mercer High School for 22 years until his retirement in 2004. Ringer holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education from Youngstown State University and a Master’s of Education from Westminster College. In 1997 Ringer was inducted into the Pennsylvania High School Speech League Hall of Fame and in 2008 was inducted into the Mercer School District Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.
